Brumfield Hay & grain offers several types of bedding, from traditional straw to expandable pellets.
Straw - traditional bedding with a natural golden color
- Wheat straw: readily available, golden color, warm bedding, economical
- Rye straw: longer in length than wheat, bright golden color, warm bedding, not recommended for use under pregnant mares.
Shavings - popular, clean and economic bedding
- Suncoast Shavings: conveniently packaged, large flakes, soft, dust free, easy to clean. (ultra compressed to expand to 10 cubic feet).
- Guardian Swift Pick: finer flake, very absorbent, low dust. The 100% Pine Flakes have been heat processed to help guard against mold. (6-8 cubic feet compressed down to 2.4 cubic feet).
- Callaway Triple Select: A mix of small, medium, and large flakes. These flakes are ultra thin which allows for covering a larger area than your typical bale of shavings.

- Callaway Sure Pick: Medium pine shavings
that have been designed to make mucking your stall that much easier. (7.5 cubic feet ultra compressed to 2.44 cubic feet)
Pelleted Bedding - alternative to traditional bedding
- Guardian Pellets: condensed soft wood pellet, highly absorbent, easy clean-up, treated to removed allergens, convenient packaging. (Comes in a 40 lb bag)
- Equine Select Pellets:
Reduces the volume of stall waste as much as 40% - 60%, throwing out the manure and not the bedding each time you clean your stalls.
